Proud to be an Christian American Republican
Warning what you are about to read is not politically correct, and I am darn proud of it.There are some days when it is good to be an American. Our nation truly has one of the most special, unique governments. I do not understand why people get so upset when we republicans want stricter immigration laws, completely close the border to Mexico. Is it wrong to love our country and want to preserve it? People mistake us wanting to protect America as us saying that we are better than other countries, but its not. It is us wanting to prevent another September 11th from happening again. Though our country started out as a melting pot, that time period has ended. Now it is time to embrace America as a developed country with it's own identity. If anyone is against America and its current system, either start attempting to change it legally, using the Constitution, or get out. Why is it okay for other countries to be patriotic to their own nation, but for one to love America we become Bigots? Personally if people would like to immigrate to America (legally) and to contribute positiviley to our society and economics, then by all means let them. We are a capitalistic society, and I thank God every day for our free enterprises. Do you realize that majority of the communist nations have failed due to government's total control of the economy? Even China is slowly making its way to a more capitialistic economy.
I just don't understand how so many people living here can hate our nation as passionately as they do. Do they not understand the sacrifices millions of men and women have made to let us have the freedoms that we have today? I know our government is not perfect, but no government is going to be. Man is inherrently sinful, therefor corrupt. So any man run government is going to have flaws. But I think the one we have is pretty darn great. We are fortunate to live in a nation that was built upon Christian values and principles. Our founding father's created this nation so that they may worship God freely without having the king forcing them to worship freely. Each of the 13 original colonies was created based of freedom of Christianity. Even Rhode Island was created for Christian denominational freedom. Funny how our text books'; return true;" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 3px double; TEXT-DECORATION: none" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=text%20books">text books'; return true;" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 3px double; TEXT-DECORATION: none" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=text%20books">text books'; return true;" style="BORDER-BOTTOM: 3px double; TEXT-DECORATION: none" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;" href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=text%20books">text books leave that tidbit out in today's schools. Even seperation of church and state has been warped. It was originally meant to be that the Federal Government could not create a ferally regulated church, they wanted that option to be left up to the states.
Now I am sure I am offending people with this post. I do not apologize for my beliefs or for history. But if you will bare with me for the rest of this post, I would love for you to post your comments.
Republicans are often portrayed as rich older folks, who only care about those that are exactly like them. That is semi true with a few select republicans. But not all. Just as all democrats aren't tree huggin, welfare abuser, illegal immigrants, that want to kill all unborn children. These are stereo types based on exagerations. Yes, we would like tax cut, and to limit federally funded social programs. But its not that we want to completely erase systems such as welfare, but would rather revamp them. We would like to see welfare become a system that is abused as it is today. If we are able to recreate the system to have stricter time lines for people on welfare to find a job. And not just cut off the welfare payments, but help decrease the amount of money given until the person is self-sufficient. And also make it so that they have to attend job training seminars to help them gain employment. If we make it so that it is harder for people to abuse welfare, then there will be less money spent on it, but the money will be used more efficiently. I do realize that there will still be those who will abuse it, but hopefully the number will be decreased.
Some people are also under the impression that we hate blacks? If that is true then why was Collin Powell Secretary of State for Bush 43 first term? Not to mention of Ken Blackwell who is currently the secretary of state in Ohio. The problem is that we do not believe in giving unjust handouts to blacks because of slavery that ended over a hundered years ago. Yes slavery was a tragic thing, but it is over with now. Yes you had it rough through out the middle part of the 1900's but that time too has ended. I am not saying that racism is not still around, or that it will ever fully go away. As long as we exist here on earth, there will be racism. I am not saying that we have to be racist, but there will be those who are. But what republicans are against is people recieving a job based on their skin color. Jobs should be given based on credentials, not race. Corporate offices should not hire someone just to fill a quota. That in itself is racism if the other race is more qualified. Why should one be rejected from a college or lose a scholarship because they were white? I am sorry but I know several black families who are quiet succesful and became that way without government support. If blacks complain about being treated unfairly, maybe its because they do not really want to be treated fair, but rather treated special. I'm sorry but this is not a communist nation, government should not be telling businesses who to hire and why.
I believe all men are creted equal in God's eye. But I am not God, nor do I claim to be. Unequality on earth is a result of sin. Just because people do not have the same talents and jobs, does not mean they are equal. Equality is to play an equally important role in our society. Whether you are a senator, teacher, McDonald's worker, prison guard. They all make up an important part of our economy.
Now for the most important topic. If I believed in welfare, open immigration, affirmative action, homosexaul marriage (marriage is a Godly contract), then I would be republican simply because they are Pro-life. To me the actual right to life claims importance over all other social and civil issues. I cannot support a party thats supports the murder of an innocent child. I do not care if that child rests inside of a woman's body, the child him or herself are their own person. They have the right to live just as much as anyone else. I applaud President Bush in his bann partial-birth abortions. I am glad that after 8 years we finally have a president in office with morals, and is not afraid to let this nation know what he stands for. I believe this election shows that the election of 2004 was an election of morals and values. Something that Kerry majorly lacked. Don't believe me? go to www.swiftvets.com. John O'Neil is an amazing man, whom I have had the pleasure to meet and talk with. Do you realize that in just 9 days it is possible to tell the gender. Within 18 days the baby's heart beats. http://www.cirtl.org/abfacts.htm#prolife How is it our country was so upset over September 11th where 2,996 people died. Where as 1.5 milllion abortions happen a year and 40 million have since 1973 http://www.cirtl.org/stats.htm. We went to war over close to 3,000 deaths, yet alloow millions to be murdered over the years. I guess its okay as long as we are slaughtering our own? I saw a bumpersticker that said: All the people fighting for abortion have already been born. A little ironic isn't it. Majority of democrats ifght for illegitamate rights, but what happend to the right to life?
I am a replublican, because after careful review of the factual history, I find it is the party that closely represents Christianity. I am not saying its perfect. I know changes need to be made, and as a registered voter, I plan to help make some of those changes. I believe in my country, only Next to God. When I die, it is Him I am going to have to answer to... I am proud to be a part of a party that supports keeping God's name in the pledge of allegience and who want to keep the ten commanments posted in courtrooms. Majority of republicans understand the importance of our countries Biblical background, and That is the main reason why I am Republican. God Bless you all.

Summer Daze
Can I just say that it has been a beautiful day here at IWU. Its been so nice I got to wear flip flops, which are my favorite type of footwear. plus I got these really cute pink ones this weekend that I got to break in. Even now I have my blinds open and some good music on. Weather like this always reminds me of Mayterm freshman year. Ah those were the days. Es and I would drive to Taylor and hang out there by their lake. It was so nice. It makes me wanna be social. Its just great out. Puts a smile on my face. I got a nice lil nap today, well tonight. since I slept from 7-8 PM. So I am in this eating disorder class, which is where we learn all about eating disorders. Gotta say my professor is a little too emotional. I'm glad her husband finds her womanly body sexy, but not a story for class. And then she goes and starts complimenting girls in class about their uniqueness. I'm sorry but considering I actually like about 20% of the people I know, and dislike everyone I don't know, then being in an emotionally supportive class, where we are expected to be nice about eating disorders is a load of crap. I'm sorry but ppl need to start taking responsibility for their own problems. Quit blaming culture, America is NOT the enemy, your controling mothers, and absentee fathers. Sometimes you not happy with yourself, is really just your issue. Okay I am going to stop, bc i am sure I am going to be getting some hateful replies. But please feel free to, though I disagree, I'll read your opinions. So Stacey and Rania seem to think they are pretty powerful since it took BOTH of them to overpower me. Now I can beat them seperately. Last night is proof that I can beat up Rania. And well stacey, well all know that. Its good to know that I have to be outnumbered to be beat. Though it was Rania more than Stacey (gotta give credit where deserved). Oh but Rania, you do NOT need to wrap your legs around me. This is not the OC or Buffy. Lesbianism can be left outside the suite. Just harassing you Rania.. I love my suitemates, and the fact they care deeply for each other and don't want to hurt each other's feelings. I figure its good that I have nice suitemates, something has to balance my moodswings and bitchiness. One More Day till DC. Watch out Capital City. Okay Keagan needs her sleep now, and hopefully some good dreams
Cordelia: And if you get me out of this, I swear I'll never be mean to anyone ever again. Unless, they really deserve it or if it's that time of the month, in which case I don't think you or anyone else can hold me responsible...
Phoebe: "I wish I had dreams like that."
Piper: "Mom would have to knock before she came into your dreams."

Great Questions of Life
We go to a school where we are constantly told to have a Faith of our own, not just accept the faith of our parents. But at the same time, it wants us to accept the faith it tells us about. But if we are just accepting the faith/lifestyle because the school tells us to then is it really our own? I was told that if you had the truth given to you, then who go looking for the answers. If we have the truth handed to us then we should be responsible to it and accepting it. But how do we know what is being told to us is the truth? I mean Satan tells us things that seem truthful but are really deceitful. And No I am not saying our school is Satan. So even if you have the "answers" handed to you, shouldn't you continuing research them to make sure they are really the true honest answers. T pointed out though, how do we really what the truth is? There is nothing we can prove 1000%. And you can't siprove everything. So in the end what really is the truth? So if we accept the truth the school gives us is that enough?I was once told that the only absolute is that there are no absolutes. But the fact that there are NO absolutes is an absloute, thus voiding that statement. There must be an absolute out there, but hwo much should be accepted on Faith and how much on factualy knowledge. You can't purely accept something on faith, because I can have faith in things that are never going to happen or are not real. So where do we find the answers that we seek, and how do we know for sure that the snwers that we find our not lies?
Faith: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Heb. 11:1).
Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading."

Don't worry I'm adding my fun quote of the day too.
Another scene from the episode with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, had the demon giving out to Piper.
"You and Phoebe just do everything that Prue tells you too. You are 'Yes-men'!"
"No, that's not true", said Piper. "When Prue says no, we all say no."
Keagan Day
Ah what a nice relaxing day its been. I got up around 10:30, but just laid in bed enjoying being snuggle iny my warm blankets. Then I got up and got dressed for the day. And by dressed I mean a tank top and a pair of leopard print pajama bottoms. I watched about 30 minutes of one of my charmed tapes. FYI I did make it through the day with out my charmed marathon. Guess I can survive without it. Then I spent the day picking up and cleaning my room. I know what is the world coming to? But I got to blast my barenaked ladies, Ingram Hill, and Debbie Gibson music while I cleaned. I even alphabetized my movies. Crazy huh? They were all so disorganized and messy, I hated it. I almost forgot. Congratulations to Cathy from the comic strip. She got married yesterday. Isn't that exciting :) I got so much homeowrk done today that hopefully I will have time to go visit my adorable little nephew. who spent the weekend banging on my bedroom door at home, calling for aunt keagie. And he is only 20 months, so it had to have been like the cutuest thing ever. And I can't wait for little Carter to be born b/c I am going to take both him and Hayden for walks and wear my "I'm just the aunt" shirt.Okay I think I am going to go to bed and attempt to sleep. I do need to get up early tomorrow since I am actually GOING to chapel. I think we're all going to have to skate there because hell just froze over. Not really. I've only skipped aobut 5 times so far.

Who Needs sleep?
Now I lay me down not to sleepI just get tangled in the sheetsI swim in sweat three inches deepI just lay back and claim defeatChapter read and lesson learned
Lids down, I count sheepI count heartbeatsThe only thing that counts isthat I won't sleepI countdown, I look around
Who needs sleep? well you're never gonna get it! Who needs sleep? Tell me what's that for. Who needs sleep?Be happy with what you're getting
There's a guy who's been awake since the Second World War
My hands are locked up tight in fists
My mind is racing, filled with listsof things to do and things I've done
Another sleepless night's begun
Ugh this is my third sleepless night in a row. At least tonight I am up because I am working on a presentation for US COnstitutional History. I will admit I have enjopyed delving into Rhode Island's royal colonial charter. But now I would like to get to bed and dream my sweet dreams of Julian McMahon.....hmmm or Maybe Simon Cowell. Why is it that I find arrogant jerks soo iresistable? You think by now I would have learned my lesson. Oh yeah now i remember, you can respect a wussy guy. But any ways. Funny how I am supposed to be working on my presentation, but instead I am blogging. Oh yeah kt don't worry I won't give up on Keagan nights. Actually I think this saturday night might be one, since most my suities (suitemates) will be gone. Or actually make that Sunday afternoon, Charmed marathon. Funny how even though I now have a life, I still make time for TV. So is it wierd that all I can think about is my soon to be born nephew Carter? I am so excited to have another nephew, though I will admit I really really really wanted a niece. But I think Carter and i are gonna have fun. Since Hayden has everyone else in the family wrapped around his finger, I figure Carter can be my little buddy. I am going to teach him everything he needs to know to survive our family. And that he shouldn't be jealous of Hayden. Oh and all should be proud of me. As of this coming friday I will have gone 3 full weeks without skipping a class. Theory of Personalities doesn't count because I dropped it.
So I've been thinking, I have really become domesticated. Since someone and I are no longer talking, (I won't be like some girls and put his name on here) I still haven't gone out for one of my usual wensdays/or weekends. The fast that I stopped those when he and I started talking, but now that we aren't anymore, and I still havent done anything. Though I will admit the urge to is there, but I am able to supress it. Of course that is because I have a Stacey and Rania...my 7/8th moms. Sorry being the youngest of five kids means I have lots of moms. Especial with two of those siblings married. Is it possible that I am coming out of my wild phase? I mean I am doing my homework, ahead of time, mostly. I am going to extra credit lecture and taking notes. Plus I spend my weekends watching lame movies with my suities.
Oh i really need to get working on this Rhode Island thing. Oh well at least I can listen to bad Japanese platinum artists from the late 80s early 90s while i work. Plus listen to Debbie Gibson....
So in the words of my black suitemate, Rosa, ha just joking, Rania, LADES....
****disclaimer**** the reference to Rosa was not meant to be a hateful racial slur, Rania should not be offended, nor should any other African-Americans. SO please dont come and shoot me AACK sorry people but I am not PC....ever

Life is good
So yesterday was one of those days where stuff kept going wrong. Like I locked my keys in my car at wal-mart. Which isnt a big deal, except for the fact I live in Marion, which is the murder capital of Indiana. But i have a wonderful kt and amy who brought my spare keys. Today was much better. I got my new voice recorder, today which is soo much fun now that I figured out how to work it. Who knew technology could be so complicated. I have also become a geek. Like not only did I tape today's US contitutional History's lecture on the ratification of the constitution, but I also took good notes. And I attended a lecture on John Locke's use of the Bible. I actually took notes and enjoyed it too. What has happened to me? But okay now that i left this completely pointless message, I am going to type up a paper about the John Locke lecture for extra credit in two of my classes. Could life get easier? Just to make suresleepless nights
So here it is, 1:30 in the morning, and i am wide freaking awake. Anyone wanna tell me why I had coffee at 9:40 at night? Hmm I guess it has been a while since I last posted, I'm gonna have to do better at it this semester. But of course that will all depend on how interesting my life is. I spent like the entire weekend with my suitemates, which was completely fun. I become a Starbucks devirgin saturdaynight. I think that is my favorite place EVER. Ok so my suite is doing this Fit club thing where 6 of the 8 of us are working out and eating healthier. I added my own little spin by deciding to use a celebrity as inspiration (Ha I know shocker coming from me) But is here there surprising thing: I did NOT pick Heather Locklear (she is just too old now), nor did I chose Sarah Michelle Geller, or Mitzi Kapture (She's in the same boat as Heather). Sadly I did not pick my older twin either, Renee Zellwegger (her weight is crazy unstable). No I picked four time platinum artist in Japan, Alyssa Milano, from my new favorite Show, Charmed. Which i am buying the first season soon. Not only is she cute skinny, but she has muscle tone. So now i have a pic of her on my fridge to watch what i eat. And thank you stacey for your "Alyssa Milano doesn't eat Reese." Which is now my new motto for eating healthy. Good-bye my beloved junk food. We can have a torrid affair once in a blue moon. Hmm anything else interesting going on? Congradulations to Micah, Jaime and T for jumping on the Celeb fitness/diet train. Oh yeah I found one of my binder of my original stories (my own characters and story lines.) SO I laid in bed tonight for about an hour reading them. I also came across the few poems I have written. Its amzing how much they sucked, but i could flash back to the feeling going into writing them. Funny how a person could affect you even though you never gave him that much credit at the time. Wanna know the greatest news of all time though? I Keagan Billings officially own the entire series of Melrose Place. I will always remain true to my first obsession of a TV show. This show paved way for so many of the shows I love now: Charmed (love Phoebe and Cole), ER, 90210, the OC, and Who can forget Silk Stalkings (though I guess SS did come before Melrose). Wow I am really writing a lot of crap on here. Oh well it will give those others who are up, but cannot focus on homework something to read.PS sorry this has none of my wild escapades on here anymore, but i am putting this blog on my main AIM account, where most ppl can access it. So those of you who are privy to my fun stories, just ask me...;) Have a good night all. By the way, in June/July, i will have another wonderful nephew, Carter Thomas. How cute is that name? Congradulations Carter, you are now 1 of the 2 children I like. Story of my dislike for kids in another post.
