Right to Life

Right now our country is sliding down a slippery hill, and one woman's case could have helped at least stop the sliding, or even help us start to climb back up the hill. Unfortunately Judge Greer has given our society a nice little shove DOWN the hill. Not only was Terri Schiavo's feedin tube removed, but they judge ordered that NO ONE was to give her any food at all or water. Her mom could not even put ice chips on Terri's tongue. This is cruel and unusual punishment. Even when someone is removed from a respirator they are given the chance to breath on their own. Someone doesn't hold a pillow over their face to permantly cut of oxegyn. No this Judge has rulde that it is illegal for anyone to see if Terri could swallow water on her own. He is forcing her to die, not even given a chance to live. Welcome to a new area of life, where life has no value. Florida state courts have allowed Michael Schiavo to murder his wife (and yes I do mean murder). This man has done nothing to even see if his wife could be rehabilited, much less spent money on rehabilitation. He has gone out and made a life with another woman (who should watch out or she could be dead next), and has two little girls with her. From a malpractice suit against the hospital, Terri was given 700,000 dollars for rehabilitation. None of that money has gone towards Terri, but instead Michael has been using it to pay for his lawyers to see that the Shindlers do not get custody and keep Terri alive. It is sad that the judicial branch see that her husband has more of a right to kill her when her parents are fighting to save her life. Isn't it ironic that people are saying that the government shouldn't be involved, its a family matter, but when people want to be lazy and whore themselves around they are all for government involvement to right them a big fat check. Shouldn't that be a family matter to? Yeah thats what I thought.

addicted to you

Addicted to You
Guess that you can say I’ve got
An addictive personality
But I ain’t talkin’ about no drugs
I ain’t talking ‘bout no food
But one dose is never enough
And it’s always way too much
And if I had any sense at all
I’d come down and face
It’s what I feel like every day
Because baby, I’m addicted to YOU
Oh my gosh. Let me just tell you that as of late I have added a few new addictions to my already long list. First, studying at starbucks. Eric introduced me to this just a few weeks before Spring break, and now any time I need to crack down and study hard, that is where I want to go. Like today, Micah and I spent litterally three hours there, studying, and we both got quite a bit accomplished. The best part of going to starbucks to study is you feel slightly social, without being constantly interupted by people ( as you would if you were studyin in the student center) Plus you get out of your room. Not too mention you get some of the best coffee EVER! Depending on who you are with, it can be a nice lil' drive. As of tonight, I have discovered that voting on American Idol is addictive too. I attempted to vote for litterally 15 minutse (sad isn't it?) Breifly Eric and I had a small competition, but he was able to bow out and get started on his homework. I however had to keep voting. In fact it was getting so bad, I gave my suitemate my cell phone to hold. I did manage to make it through twenty times though: 15 for Anthony Fedorov and 5 for Carrie Undwerwood. I just hope it doesn't cost alot to vote, otherwise I am going to have some explaining to do to my mom. Without extended calbe, i have found that www.Foxnews.com is as addictive as the TV station is (see previous post of what I learned over Spring Breal). I probably check that site at least 5 times a day, if not more. Especially with all the stuff that has been happening lately. Which I will be posting about in just a bit. I will create a post that specifically deals with all the important political issues that have happened lately. So those of you that have missed them don't fret. My final addiction is grapenuts. I love the cereal, and have like 2 bowls a day. its craziness. okay, that is my blog for today. I am gonna jump off of here and do some work on my homework. But I'll be posting in just a bit...don't forget to check back for the important issues.

Been There, Done That, Lost the T-shirt

Do you ever have a sense of "been there and done that" but you dont know what you've done or where you've been? Have you ever had a feeling of hidden Deja Vu? But you cann't put your finger on it? Like you've already traveled down this road, but can't remember it. All day its felt like I am reliving a day from my past, but I can't quite figure what it is. Who knows maybe its the sunny day that seems so familiar (that does tend to happens once Spring sets in). But it seems more than that, its feels like something deep inside of me is experiencing something for the second time, but I just cant figure it out. Maybe I am going crazy. i dunno, but I feel like im experiencing emotions connected to something I can't remember. No I haven't been drinking, or doing drugs. But this feeling is totally wierd. Okay this is a short, just wanted to type this out....anyone has any clue what i am talking about, feel free to respond

Lessons Learned from Spring Break

Now, don't get your hopes up, these aren't quite like the lessons I learned from last years spring break. What some of you don't know what they were...too bad so sad, bc they have been locked in the what happens on spring break stays on spring break vault. Luckily this year, I haven't done anything that needs to be locked in the same vault. Now, sorry if they might not be all that exciting, but hey ever lesson learned is important.

~ VH1 needs to start playing a wider selection of music video, for more hours. Not only do they play the same music videos over and over again, but they play the same episode of their 3 television shows. I could probably put on a one man show of Stange Love and Celebrity Fit Club. Not too mention the fact that I could probably tell you who has the 100 hottest bodies, starting at 100 and ending at one.

~E! needs knew shows too b/c all they showed was the Gastineau Girls. Which is a really lame show. Though The Soup, is quite a funny show, and does not get old, and I will miss while at School.

~Fox News is addicting. You can turn it on and watch it for hours...especially when keeping updated with a man hunt in GA, or the Michael Jackson Trial.

~ My oldest brother is actually a pretty cool/interesting guy...though a little worried that he watches Charmed....cause I can guarentee we don't watch it for the some reasons..

~There is such a thing as too much TV...fortunately that has yet to apply to me

~ In 1893 Supreme Court ruled that says a tomatoe is a vegetable... bet none of you knew or cared about that...but its true.

~Never attend something called the Vagina Monologues. Don't ask, just trust...though I know KT would disagree with me.

~Heather Locklear is a strong Republican (WOOOHOOO for my old idol, who just moved back up to being my favorite celbrity...not that she ever dropped far on my list) She is actively involved up there in New Jersey.

~Sometimes there is nothing better than waking up close to ten, fixing a bowl of fruit, with a glass of milk, and then watching Regis and Kelly to get your day started. Gotta be honest, it is a little scary at how many women send in pics of their cats...I pray I am not one of them, when I get old.

~Apologizing is good for the soul (okay so technically I didn't learn this until today, but i am still gonna count it as a spring break lesson b/c though I waited until today to apologize; it was during my quality Keagan time over break that I really felt convicted to apologize to certain people)

Well, I guess that is it, though I do feel like I am forgetting important information. I am growing and slowly beginning to see the kind of person I want to be in the future. It will be a slow process, and sometimes unsteady. But I know that I am one the right path now, and I think I am finding the right Leader. Amazing how sometimes after the darkest experiences is when you are able to find the brightes light?

"God has landed on this enemy-occupied world in human form...The perfect surrender and humiliation was undergone by Christ: perfect because He was God, surrender and humiliation because He was man."
