AAA Sucks
So glad that my dad is paying good money for me to have 24 hour roadside service from AAA who is no help when you really need it. My car's driver side front tire somehow magically got shredded. I pulled up to the speaker at Taco Bell, and by time I started to drive to the window, my tire was completely flappy flat. As I get out to look at it, I discovered it had a huge gash in it. I didn't hit a nasty curb 0r don't think anyone could have slashed it. You think if that had happened I would have noticed. And Eric and I both left our cell phones in the dorm, so we had to stand outside the drive thru window and use Taco Bell's. Can I just say it was cold outside. I'm glad Eric was a good sport. I had to call like four seperate numbers before I finally got ahold of someone, and then they told me that I do not have a valid account, which is crap because my cards says that it is vaild till 2006, and so the operator told me to hold while she talked to her supervisor. And that took forever so I just hung up and called my suitemates (who are the very best, even if they brought Dustin who only talked abut his roommates puke in the sink...nasty i know) and they came to pick me up. But now my car is being left unattended at the Taco Bell parking lot, in the middle of ghetto marion. I hope its safe...im really freaking out about it. Oh but wait the evening doesn't end there. I call my parents in tears, and they are like well we'll deal with it in the morning!. And I am like F that...im tired, im stressed, i need a little parent support here. I understand its 3 AM there time and they are old, but i needed them. Its not like this is an everyday occurance for me. Especially with everything else thats been going on. So my mom is just mean, my dad lectured me about going out late...hello I left my dorm about 12:15...got back over an hour and half later bc of a stupid tire. After hanging up with my dad I get on my computer, and wait for it...a awful bloodcurdling scream. I mean we are talking a terrified Jamie Lee Curtis scream. It didn't sound like someone just goofing off. So being the dutiful citizen I am, want to go see if I can help someone...which Rania pointed out was stupid to go out there...and she's right, I won't have my gun for another 3 months (thats when ill finally turn 21). So I do the next best thing: I call campus security (yeah, like they'd actually do anything other than write parking tickets). I asked them if they wouldn't mind doing a walk through of campus to make sure everything is ok...is that really too much to ask? One registered sex offender has already been found in the REC's female locker room, wierd guys tried to get in Shatford Hall (freshman girls dorm), and who could forget the creepy guy from Beatnicks Coffee Shop/Bar that tried to get us to go to a non real Creed concert and Liska, julie and esther all gave him great details on where we lived (thankfully that was last year so im safe in KEM). ANyways back to the point. The officer was rude to me. I'm sorry I don't think I was out of line asking him to walk around campus and make sure things are fine. IWU's campus is not very big. It would take him 30 minutes max. I gave him my name and dorm so he would know it wasn't a prank. I just want to be safe, and want others to be safe too. Was I out of line to ask him to make sure nothing was really out of the ordinary? I really hope my car is okay...Though eric did do all he could to try and change the tire...stupid lug nuts. that my dad just informed how to get off...lot of good it does me now. Well, I think I am gonna listen to some soft music (which i am soo into right now) and attempt to sleep since I have to sit through a chapel on relationships tomorrow. You know cause its gonna help me and my imaginary boyfriend for us to be there.

Just because your AAA card said valid till 2006. Doesn't mean it was. AAA sends cards out ahead of time with the bills. Payment has to be made to make them valid.
True! That's why it says right under your name, "Dues billed annually". Apparently your ad did not pay that particular bill...
You should grow up a little, you sound like a 5 yr old throwing a temper tantrum. Take some responsibility for your own actions, if you are worried about your vehicle being in the ghetto, then don't travel in the ghetto and it won't be a problem. Your parents were correct in advising you the way that they did.
I HAVE AAA RV PLUS, YES WHAT A BUNCH OF MONKEYSDOING NOTHING BUT SLINGING FECES AT ONEANOTHER, I REGRET, THEY SAY RV COVERED, IT IS NOT, TIRES FLAT WILL NOT BE CHANGED, STRANDEDMEFOR FOUR HOURS,,,
i feel that one comment is made my a AAA chimp, he takes timeout from flinging feces to whack someone,,,AAA RV PLUS is crap, they willnot change tireson AAA,....i have to yellscream and be stranded 4 hours,, this is true,,,AAA takes your money and islike a rubber, making you feel secure while getting screwed,,
My wife was the victim of a hit and run accident. A white Acura rear-ended her and took off. We have the Uninsured motorist policy, but AAA says that because nobody knows if the person has insurance or not, they won't cover it. The person we spoke to even had the nerve to tell my wife that they don't have any proof of another driver... hello look at the f'n Police Report! With such a despicle disregard for their customers (who have never had a late payment in their 7 years as customers). We are looking at going with another insurance company right now and I will be telling everyone I can about how horrible AAA has been to us.
AAA is a scam. I've had it for a year and needed it twice. Both times have resulted in a NIGHTMARE. TWO SOLID HOURS of waiting time (while the weather was balmy). When you carry that card, you have a false sense of security. They are NOT out there for you, they simply want your MONEY. AAA SUCKS!
AAA is a scam. Like some sleazy health insurance company they take your premiums for years. Then, whent here is an emergency, they find any loophole they can do either deny service or charge you more. When I last broke down, they callously treated it as a sales opportunity. They refused to help me unless my wife signed up and paid $80. Total BS. I'll never use them again. And the person calling this a "tantrum" needs to grow the hell up.
i was member of AAA for twelve 12 years, and each time i had a flat on my RV they took four hours, of my yelling screaming, i was stranded in a bad area, with a rear dually flat, they refused to come, they said i must have my own equipment, they refused due to 16.5 inch rims, they refused, no equipment available, they said they would tow it for me to change it,,,,they are awful i paid extra for RV PLUS m,m what a rip off

Called 4:17 Friday February 20, 2015. It's now February 21, at 1:35pm. On hold for one hour and 35 minutes. Still waiting to get pulled out of ditch. Said have an extremely high number of service calls. Im sorry, why offer the service if you can't supply it. I do understand that this a unique winter, but they should have a backup plan for this type of issue.
This is the 2nd. Time I've needed them and I've been a member since 2003 and can count on my one hand how many times I've called for service. They don't know the meaning of service.
