Day of Truth Add-On
If any of you read my last post, "Day of truth", I had someone reply that said that what I was saying was cruel. "...Gays want to be treated like everyone else? Then take your beating with the rest of the "wierd" kids. Teens and preteens are cruel, get a shrink and get over it." At first I though, 'ya know maybe I am being too mean, but as I thought more about it, I decided that I wasn't being mean enough. I would like to know whay gays think that they deserve such special treatment? Children get made fun of all the time. My mom has one client who just trasnfered to Kentucky from Michigan. The child is being harassed at his school because of his acent. Where are all the Michiganers wanted a day of silence for this child? What about the child that is poor and wear's nasty clothes to school? Or who is going to stand up for the smelly kid? Or even the child that is just different than the school's norms? What makes gays so dag gone special that they think they should be the only one's who don't get made fun of? Further more, I'd like you to find me one gay kid who has NEVER said something mean or mailcious about another person? Goodluck because that is a crime we are all guilty of. If homosexuals want to be treated equally then they need to quit asking for special privaleges. I disagree with their lifestyle, but have nothing against them personally. What I do not like is how they think they deserve laws designed specifically for them. Why doesn't give Walt Disney have national Straight day?

Why is killing a gay or a black a hate crime? When you kill someone I really think you hated them regardless or anything else about them....Anyone else think that?
Of course killing anyone else is a hate crime. No one has the right to take someone else’s life. The little girls that have been sexually assaulted and murdered down in Florida, isn't that just as much of a hate crime as someone brutally beating a gay to death? Or what about the poor black thug that kills and steals an upper middle class man's car. Is that too not a hate crime? Shouldn't their focus be on stopping things like that from happening all together than preventing it from happening to just their group? And the day of silence is to stop kids from harassing the homosexuals in schools. Which is ridiculous, because kids get made fun of. Gays are not the sole targets of bullies.

that's the difference between a hate crime and a "normal" crime. and while i agree that all murders are abhorrent, there is a distinct difference between killing someone, and killing someone solely because they are a particular race or homosexual or whatever.
and that's all i have to say about that. :)

Katie you just contradicted yourself. Is the sexual molestation/molestation against a young girl, not a hate crime against a female? I’m surprised you do not see that as a hate crime, I'm sure most other feminists would. It is done due the fact the child is female. I find it interesting that the media stays away from hate crimes committed against blacks against whites. Take the Over the Rhine for example in Cincinnati. Whites do not go in that area because the blacks there will attack them. When a white man drives through there and a black man throws a brick at the windshield because the white man is in the blacks' territory? Blacks and gays are not the only people hate crimes are committed against. But liberal media would like you to think that. What about Christian Churches that are vandalized?
first of all, i never said that a crime against a person based on their gender WASN'T a hate crime, because it is--and it happens all the time overseas, where women are attacked and mutilated simply because they are women.
molestation is not a hate crime, and i think you know that, you're just trying to make a point. we're all pretty intelligent here, i think that we all can understand this. just like a crime committed by an african american against a white person, simply because they are white, is a hate crime, and i dont think anyone ever said it wasn't.
christian churches that are vandalized simply because of the religion ARE considered hate crimes.
and i'm surprised as a political science afficianado that you seem to not be able to understand what a hate crime is.
i agree that all crimes or murders are horrible, but "hate crime" is a specific term for a specific type of crime. it's not so hard to understand.
You completly missed my point Katie. The point I was trying to make is that Gays and Blacks like to act as though they are the only victims. And the liberal media likes to act as though they are. You are looking at the simple legal definition of a hate crime. Coming from a lawyer point of view, as I reread Dave's original comment, I agree with him. Scott Peterson killed his wife out of hate..that is a hate crime. The molestation of a small child is a hate crime to, wether the hate is directed to the girl herself, another woman who burned the man, or maybe even self-loathing for himself. The point is hate is if hate is involved any way shape or form in a crime, then the crime is a hate crime. And your right Katie we are all pretty intelligent here (all 3 of us) so we should all be able to see that. The pverall point I was trying to make is that Homosexuals want to be treated equal, but are always demanding special treatment. They are not the only one's that people preform against (hmm have I stressed that enough?)

If you love someone enough to kill them...say I! That's what I thought..no one loves someone they kill. They...say this with me...HATE them. Good job! Remember murder is spurred by hate. Hate is spurred by fear. Fear is spurred by perception. Perception of Iraq was given by the govenrment. Your absolutely right Dave, the Iraq war was spurred on by hate, Saddams hate of the US, his working with terrorists, his hate of his own people. But I gues you prefer for us to sit back adn wait for another September 11 to happen before any action is to attack. But if we are going on what you say, then you must agree that Michael Schiavo hated his wife...after all he used out judicial system to murder her
