Day Of Truth

Gay Rights activists are trying to created Wensday as a day of silience in our nation's public schools to try and stop harassment of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and trans gender students. The students who want to support this will not speak for the entire day. This includes them not speaking to teachers or the administration. How ridiculous is this? I am sorry but homosexuals are not the only ones who get picked on in school. I got made fun of all the time in junior high, and that was just because I listened to Oldies instead of pop music. C'mon, the poor kids get made fun of...the slow learning kids get made of. I'm not saying we should condone these actions, but gays want to be treated like everyone else? Then take your beating with the rest of the "wierd" kids. Teens and preteens are cruel, get a shrink and get over it.
At least The Alliance Defense Fund is trying to combat this with Day of Truth. This is where students will wear T-shirts and pass out cards, during school and answer questions on why they are against homosexuality. Here is the message that will be on the card: "I am speaking the Truth to break the silence. I believe in equal treatment for all, and not special rights for a few. I believe in loving my neighbor, but part of that love means not condoning detrimental personal and social behavior. I believe that by boldly proclaiming the Truth, hurts will be halted, hearts will be healed, and lives will be saved " I think this is amazing that The ADF is willing to take a stand and spread the Truth...since our nations schools tend to like hide all things about Christianity. Like the girl in New England who wasn't allowed to read the manger story to her class even though the assignment was to bring something of holiday tradition from your family. Its time Christians raise up and let our voices be heard

Yikes. You know I love you Keagan, but I'm kind of shocked at how insensitive you can be at times.

Really? You think its insensitive?
Hmm yeah I guess you would see it as that, since you are one of the kids that makes fun of others. Think about it KT, I was made fun of constantly at LCA until the end of Junior year. You were the one who was the meanest to me to. Look kids get made fun of, its a fact of high school. Why are gays so special that they think they shouldn't be made fun of? Are they better the poor kids? Or what about the kid that just doesnt fit in? Kids get made fun of, its not just gays its happening to. Maybe the way I said it does sound cruel, but its true
